Director's Message
   

The Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy, set up by the Department of Posts and Telegraphs in the year 1977, has evolved into a premium Training Institution of Government of India for imparting quality training to newly recruited officers of the Indian Postal Service as well as for conducting specialized and need-based in-service Courses for middle level and Senior Officers of India Post. It also has the expertise on subjects, like Establishment and Legal Matters, Vigilance and Discipline, Right to Information Act etc. relevant for all Ministries. The Academy regularly organises special Courses in these areas for officers of other Ministries, Department of Government of India and Public Sector units. The infrastructure of the Academy is of International Standard and every year 3 to 4 Courses are run for mangers of other Postal Administrations. The faculty has rich and varied experience and the Academy endeavours to make training relevant, beneficial enjoyable for the participants.

Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy earlier known as the Postal Staff College India is the premiere training institute set up to train officers of India Post. Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy is located in a sprawling campus at Ghaziabad, Uttarpradesh, India. It was set up in the year 1977 and started functioning in the new campus from 1990.

The institute trains officers who get recruited to the Indian Postal Service through the civil services examination. Apart from this, this institute conducts training programmes for all senior officers of India Post. As this institute is a Central Training Institute of Government of India, it conducts training programmes of common interests to officers of various Central Government Departments. The institute also conducts international courses every year on various Postal Management topics.
